Nikola Tre is the first truck with fuel cells, redundant braking, batteries, and steering thats necessary for 5 level of autonomy. Thanks to regenerative brakes and air disk brakes, Nikola trucks start braking within 10 miliseconds what is hundreds of time faster in comparison to the advanced air-only disk brakes. Japan is betting on hydrogen fuel cells powered vehicles

Japan wants the Tokyo Olympic games 2020 to run on hydrogen. Furthermore, Japan is aiming to put on the road 40,000 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by 2020. Toyota and Honda, that already have hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on the road, think that the technology’s superior energy density will triumph over batteries. More on the link:
